Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and richer in the original, with more prominent green hues to the central and left figures.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is a faint stretcher mark and a small number of short, unobtrusive rub marks running parallel with the lower edge. There is a further light rub mark to the right of the central figure. Upon extremely close inspection, there is a short horizontal hairline crack in the yellow pigment towards the centre of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
