Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper, richer and slightly warmer in the original. The illustration fails to fully convey the shiny surface of the varnished areas. Condition: This work is in very good condition. On close inspection there are a few specks of scattered loss; one at the far left of the top extreme edge, one to the extreme lower right corner tip, one in the top left quadrant at the centre of the left edge, and a further loss in the top right quadrant at the centre of the top edge. Visible only on extremely close inspection, there are a small number of hairline cracks towards the centre of the lower edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
