Condition
Colour:
The colour in the cataouge illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. The catalouge illustration fails to fully convey the highly textured brushstrokes throughout the work, apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is light wear to all four corners tips with some very minor associated loss. There are scattered stable hairline cracks throughout the thick impasto, some of which are visible in the catalogue illustration. On close inspection, there is some light craquelure scattered in the thinner paint towards the corner in the lower left quadrant and a small number of losses to the impasto peaks throughout. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
