Condition

Colours: The colours in the cataouge illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the richly textured surface and décollage effect apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is wear to all four corners and the edges of the décollage are slightly lifting along the left extreme edge towards the lower corner. The nicks, tears, rub marks and lifting throughout the composition are all inherent to the artist's choice of medium and working process. The canvas is exposed to the centre-left of the top of the composition, visible not only in the catalogue illustration, but also in the artist's Catalogue Raisonné.
