Condition
Colours:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the white areas tend more towards cream in the original, with fewer pink hues throughout. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the three dimensionality and the optical illusion apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is light wear to all four corner tips and intermittently along all four edges. There is additional wear, light isolated areas of discolouration, and minor nicks with associated paint loss to the outer side edges of the work, consistent with a work from this date. Under raking light, there are a small number of fine, short and unobtrusive rub marks to the clear edges of the Plexiglas. There are two small spot of glue residue that have discoloured over time; one at the centre of the lower inside edge, and another towards the centre of the upper inside edge. Upon close inspection, there are some further traces of aged glue residue along all four extreme interior edges where the backboard of the work meets the protruding edges.
