Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the three dimensionality of the blocks, apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is light wear to the lower and top right corner tips and a small number of minute nicks to the top extreme edge. There are two diagonal rub marks in the centre of the top half of the composition and a few further, smaller rub marks scattered elsewhere. There is a short pencil mark towards the centre of the left edge. Visible on close inspection, there is light, superficial surface dirt that has accumulated over time at the base of the protruding blocks, and some faint handling marks in places to the work's edges. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
