Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the rich surface texture apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Upon very close inspection, there are a few short drying cracks in the lower left hand quadrant, and a small spot of stable lifting to the centre right approximately 15cm down from the top edge. All other surface irregularities are original and inherent to the artist's choice of medium and working process. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
