Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer and richer in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is light canvas draw in the top two corners and wear to all four corner tips. There is further wear with associated paint flaking in the lower left hand corner on the left edge. Visible only upon close inspection, there are small number of extremely fine hairline cracks to the thicker areas of impasto paint along the figure's sleeve and to the belt buckle, with a tiny loss to the impasto peak and some superficial surface dirt in the recesses. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
