- each 220cm. high; 7ft. 3in. and 116cm. wide; 3ft. 10in., 118cm. wide; 3ft. 11in., 87cm. wide; 2ft. 10¾in., 46cm. wide; 1ft. 6½in., 74cm. wide; 2ft. 5½in., 73cm. wide; 2ft. 5in., 47cm. 1ft. 7in., 200cm. wide; 6ft. 7¼in., 199cm. wide; 6ft. 6¾in.
each of the nine cut painted paper panels laid on canvas then on a timber base
Condition
Dramatic and very decorative. Each panel with areas of re-touching and there are numerous old scratches and marks to the surface.

By the mid-18th century Chinese painted export wallpapers were a highly sought after commodity. Imported directly by the East India Company, similar sets to that offered appeared in great rooms throughout the country.
