Condition

This extradordinary coat of arms is of some quality and weight. There are signs that it may have been positioned outside as there is the kind of wear and the sorts of repairs that one would associate with the exterior placement of this piece. There are carved replaced components, notably to the acanthus fronds and latin motto. The pantocrator surmount to the crown is also lacking. There are splits and some areas of filler which much of the later painted decoration covers. A magnificent object.
