Condition
The panel is flat and even. The colours are somewhat richer and less saturated than in the catalogue illustration, and the varnish slightly yellower.
Apart from some spots of what appear to be old retouching in the bust and forehead of the standing lady, a thick dirty varnish, and some scattered light frame rubbing along the extreme edges, overall this work is in good condition and would benefit from a light clean.
Held in a decorative gold-painted rococo-style frame.
