Condition

Original canvas. Apart from light vertical stretcher mark down the centre and some surface dirt, overall the appearance of this work is good. Ultra-violet light reveals some restoration, notably to repaired tears in a c. 28 by 12cm area below the left-hand bush (patched on the reverse), a circa 3cm high line of restoration below the windmill (also patched), and what appears to be a thin retouched scratch in the front of the shed. These are relatively minor given the overall size of the work. Held in a very decorative rococo-style gold-painted frame with floral motifs.
