Condition

The canvas has been relined, with some associated flattening of the paint surface. Under ultraviolet light there appear to be a few minor spots of retouching in the grass in the lower right quadrant, and a thick heavy varnish. The colours are overall much less red than in the catalogue illustration, especially in the sky. Held in a decorative gold-painted frame.
