Description

  • Capricci with figures at the base of classical ruins
  • a pair, both bear initials, one lower right and one lower left: AP (in ligature) d M.
  • both oil on canvas

Condition

Both canvases are lined. The paint surfaces are in good condition, though a little dirty, with a fine, old craqurelure in the sky. There is some scattered residue on the paintingw with a woman standing on the ruins, and both paintings have small old restored damages to the arches. Offered in ornate carved gilt wood frames with plaster mouldings, in good condition, with a few minor knocks.
