Condition
The canvas has a modern relining.
The paint surface is secure, if a little dirty, with the brushwork and impasto of the work intact.
Inspection under UV light reveals retouchings along the edges of the work, to the background, the jug, the back and plait of the central daughter and to the right eye and décolletage of the right hand daughter. Further retouchings may be masked by the reflective varnish covering the work.
Offered in a modern, gold painted frame with plaster mouldings in good condition, with just a handful of minor knocks and cracks. The painting is ready to hang.
