Provenance

Probably acquired H. [?] Toscali [?], 26 October 1972, as a 'Mahogany Carved Wardrobe (William Kent)', according to Frederick McCarthy's stock books.

Condition

Very decorative and functional piece of furniture. The cornice finely carved and in good condition although there is evidence of worm to the interior of this component. The sides with old marks and scratches and a scorch mark to the lekft side (approx. 3cm x 3cm.) The sides of each door with chips. The attractively figured doors good although the left upper panel with a scratch and small water marks.
