together with a George III style polychrome painted and satinwood banded easel toilet mirror, possibly by Hindley & Wilkinson, third quarter 19th century (2)

Condition

Serpentine example: the silvering to the mirror is very distressed. The satinwood top with speckled marks throughout. The right small drawer with repair to stringing, the central drawer with replaced lock and now lacking escutcheon. Of very good quality. Polychrome mirror: 70.5cm. high, 42.5cm. wide. This is in country house condition. The cresting with splits and losses to crossbanding. The dove at the foot with a fracture. Losses to painted detail at the base. Craqueleure and surface marks to decoration.
