  • 85cm. high, 108cm. wide, 57.5cm. deep; 2ft. 9¼in., 3ft. 6½in., 1ft. 10½in.
with a repaired kolmårds marble top of serpentine outline

Provenance

Possibly acquired from D. Strutt, Harrogate, 23 March 1955, and described as a 'German Commode', according to Frederick McCarthy's stock books.

Condition

A pretty piece that is very decorative. The top has been broken into three pieces at some stage in its long history. There is filler to these breaks sites. Each side with a horizontal fracture and some losses to veneers at this point. There are some lossses to mouldings along drawer edges and a few patched repairs to veneers on drawers and notably some patches to the shaped apron and bracket feet.
