Provenance

Probably acquired from H. Lewis, Buckingham, 22 March 1955, '2 mahogany pillar dining table', according to Frederick McCarthy's stock books.

Condition

Of a pleasing size. Top with old scratches, stains and scuffs commensurate with use. Inconsistent surface patination. A few dents and chips to the edges. The later newer leaf without a reeded edge. The arrangement of the splayed legs would imply that there should be a central pedestal(s) and additional leaves.
