Description

  • Rosewood, satinwood, oak, glass
  • 168cm. high, 78cm. wide, 46.5cm. deep; 5ft. 6¼in., 2ft. 6¾in., 1ft. 6¼in.
with rosewood and kingwood crossbanding and borders of boxwood and ebony stringing, the fall front enclosing a satinwood interior fitted with drawers and arcaded pigeon-holes above a recessed arched drawer

Provenance

Possibly acquired from G. R. [?], Shrewsbury, 25 February 1966, 'Sheraton Mahog. china cabinet', according to Frederick McCarthy's stock books.

Condition

In very good condition and the timber is a rich and pleasing colour. Very minor scatches from age. The sides are generally good but have some old age splits. Upper part of front left leg lacking a small section of inlay. The interior is generally good and in crisp condition. Baise writing surface probably later. A very pleasing overall appearance.
