Condition
A charming piece of a pleasing proportions. Some of the components that make up the cornice are loose, the urn finials are detachable. Some small areas of old worm.
There are old marks, stains and scratches throughout, entireky consistent with age and use. There are some gouge marks to each side. The mahogany is beautifully figured but perhaps slightly faded (this does not detract from the 'look' of the piece. There are also some small ink stains to the mahogany. There is a loss to the cockbeading of approx 7cm. to the lower edge of the bottom drawer. There is a patch from an old repair to the rear left side, and a smaller patch to the right rear leg, the front legs may also have patching, there are numerous old scuffs, marks and scratches to the bracket feet. A good piece in un-restored condition.
