reposant sur quatre pieds, le corps repoussé et ciselé de deux frises de feuillages et rinceaux sur fond amati, les anses agrafées de feuilles amaties, le couvercle mouvementé à prise en fleur

Condition
In overall very good conidition.
Only stamped with maker's mark stamped three times under the base and inside cover, exactly corresponding to Paul Senez. A small mark stamped twice on neck and twice on cover rim: an insect wuth D inside, legible.

Catalogue Note
Le fait que le poinçon identique à celui de Paul Senez soit insculpé trois fois sous le corps et trois fois dans le couvercle, très lisible et uniquement accompagné d'un petit poinçon non identifié, un insecte avec la lettre D à l'intérieur, pourrait amener à penser que ce sucrier a été fait juste après 1789. Raymond Jourdan-Barry, dans les Orfèvres de la Généralité d'Aix en Provence, note que Paul Senez, né à Saintes en Saintonge, est apprenti dès 1727 à Marseille et devient maître-orfèvre en 1752. Il note encore que Senez travaille toujours en 1791.
