of cartouche form, the lid and base chased with chinoiserie musicians within architectural cartouches, the sides engraved with cloud-like motifs, discharge mark for 1738-1744, other marks rubbed, French post-1838 control mark, Label: PJB 142

Condition

gilding almost inexistant, wear commensurate with age throughout, lid also somewhat dented, inner liner to lid detached rear corner, hinge well repaired. (Poinçon de décharge 1738-1744, autres poinçons effacés, poinçon de contrôle français post -1838),
