Rare.Superbe ouvrage, pas paru en vente publique depuis 60 ans. Cet exemplaire n'est pas enregistré au RISM, qui liste seulement cinq autres exemplaires (aucun à la British Library; deux en France).

Publié pour la première fois en 1724, ce célèbre recueil de musiques de chambre pour divers instruments a été conçu par Couperin pour "unir" les styles français et italiens, son objectif étant expliqué dans la préface. Les intentions du compositeur sont atteintes dans l'apothéose du trio final ("Le Parnasse ou L'Apothéose de Corelli Grande Sonade en Trio").

Rare. We have not traced any record of this celebrated publication at auction during the last sixty years. This copy is not recorded in RISM, which lists only five other copies (none in the British Library; two in France).

First published in 1724, this famous collection of chamber music for various instruments was designed by Couperin to 'unite' the French and Italian musical styles, the composer's aims being spelled out in the celebrated preface. An apotheosis of the composer's intentions is reached in the final trio, a homage to Corelli ("Le Parnasse ou L'Apothéose de Corelli Grande Sonade en Trio").
