Ce portrait n'est pas des plus connus, mais rappelle deux célèbres miniatures représentant Bellini : l'une par Louis Duprè (1832), l'autre par Maria Malibran (1833) aujourd'hui au Museo Belliniano de Catania. (voir C. Ando, S.E. Failla et D. De Meo, Bellini, Mostra di oggetti e documenti, 1988, nos 431 et 436).
