Table à jeux en noyer et bois fruitier, travail provincial d'époque Régence

le plateau amovible à décor d'armoiries sur fond de corne bleue, orné d'un damier au revers, découvrant un jeu de tric-trac ; la ceinture sculptée de rinceaux et coquilles sur fond de croisillons, ouvrant par quatre tiroirs et quatre porte-flambeaux aux angles, reposant sur des pieds cambrés ; on y joint un ensemble de jetons en ivoire et ébène et une paire de dés ; (restaurations au placage du tric-trac)

The colours on the image are slightly lighter and more orange than they actually are. The table is in sound condition, despite some cracks, scratches and minor chips. Wear to the feet ends, minor losses of wood on three of them due to old woodworm damages (not active anymore). As visible on the picture, four cracks and minor dents on the removable table top. Below the top, the backgammon veneer with old restorations, as said in the catalogue. Would benefit from a slight restoration. Nice carving of the walnut structure and fine pattern of marquetry on the top with an elaborated coat of arms. Charming piece of furniture, probably from the French province of Dauphiné.
