première édition du livret de Die Entführung aus dem Serail. 67 pages, in-8 (17.5 x 10.3 cm), pages de garde décorées au pochoir, vignette de titre et en-tète gravées sur bois, liste des personnages, ex-libris "Logenmeister/ Joh. Distler" au verso de la deuxième page de garde, reliure en demi-maroquin à coins du XIXe siècle, inscriptions au crayon à papier sur la page de titre, page 35 numérotée "5", quelques taches et brunissures, ex-libris manuscrit moderne au dernier page de garde.

Catalogue Note
Cet opéra fut représenté pour la première fois au Burgtheater de Vienne, avec Mozart comme chef d'orchestre, le 16 juillet 1782. Il s'agit de l'opéra le plus joué du vivant de son compositeur. Mozart apporta une importante contribution à la création du livret principalement créé par Johann Gottlieb Stephanie le jeune, comme nous l'ont révèlé ses lettres. De plus une partie du manuscrit autographe des deux premières scènes de l'acte 1 - vendu dans nos salles le 6 Décembre 1991 et maintenant conservé à la Bibliotheca Mozartia à Salzburg - nous le prouve.
