première édition, 2 feuillets et [248] pages, in-folio (36.7 x 24.5 cm), musique imprimée, vignette gravée sur bois à la page de titre, dédicace, signature de l'éditeur à la fin de l'Acte I, nombreuses corrections manuscrites de l'époque, veau de l'époque, légères rousseurs, quelques pages un peu froissées, coiffe et pied du dos déchirés.

Cette édition n'est pas parue en vente publique depuis cinquante ans. Écrit en collaboration avec le frère de Louis Lully, Jean-Louis Lully (1667-1688) et le maître de musique Pierre Vignon, Zéphire et Flore fut créé à l'Opéra de Paris le 22 Mars 1688. Cet opéra est l'un des plus réussis du compositeur, et fut repris plusieurs fois. Les nombreuses corrections manuscrites de l'époque présentent un intérêt particulier.
Rare. We have traced no record of this rare edition at auction during the last fifty years. Written together with Louis Lully's brother, Jean-Louis Lully (1667-1688), and the music master Pierre Vignon, Zéphire et Flore was first performed at the Paris Opéra on 22 March 1688. It was one of the composer's most successful operas and revived several times. Of particular interest in the score are the numerous contemporary manuscript corrections.
