- Cadmus et Hermione Tragédie en Musique, sur un livret de Philippe Quinault [partition].Manuscrit du XVIIIe siècle.
Copie manuscrite de la première "tragédie mise en musique" en cinq actes avec prologue de Lully, 134 feuillets numérotés in-folio (39.5 x 26 cm),à l'encre brune recto-verso , annotations d'une main de l'époque aux scènes 1, 2 et 3 de l'acte 3 ("cette scène doit estre chantée un ton plus haut"), reliure en veau blond du XVIIIe siècle, tranches mouchetées, accidents aux coiffes, petits défauts à la reliure, rousseurs éparses.

Catalogue Note
Oeuvre très importante créée au Jeu de Paume de Bel-Air, à Paris, en avril 1673, la première tragédie lyrique de Lully fixe le schéma pour les tragédies à venir (prologue à la gloire du roi et cinq actes). Si le succès est immédiat, Cadmus (ainsi que Alceste l'année suivante) est néanmoins critiqué pour les interruptions burlesques de personnages comiques, hérités des premiers opéras italiens joués à Paris du temps de Mazarin.
