Les cinquante concertos pour clavier de Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach "représentent un des premiers sommets du genre" (The New Grove) ; il composa ce concerto en 1749 pour son usage personnel, et ne le vit publié qu'en 1752 par Balthasar Schmidt, l'éditeur de Jean-Sebastian Bach.

CPE Bach's fifty keyboard concertos "represent an early peak of the genre" (The New Grove); this concerto being written for his own use in 1749, and only printed by JS Bach's publisher Bathasar Schmidt in 1752.
