La première édition du Coronation Anthems, la superbe contribution d'Handel au couronement de George II, le 11 Octobre 1727, n'inclut pas "The King shall rejoice'. Ce morceau fut publié pour la première fois avec "Funeral Anthem for Queen Caroline" dans le volume II des "Anthems".
Le present exemplaire inclut 'The King shall rejoice' (aux pages 55-86 du volume II). Il est relié entre le troisième "Coronation Anthem" et "Funeral Anthem".
Cette édition est semblable à celle de Smith no.2, elle contient "Largo assai" sur la version sans pagination.
