première édition, 113 pages in-4 (27,8 x 22 cm), page de titre illustrée gravée, index avec annonce de l'éditeur, liste des souscripteurs, musique gravée, annotations manuscrites au titre et quelques annotations probablement de l'époque dans le corps de l'ouvrage, veau moucheté de l'époque, titre doré sur pièce de maroquin rouge sur le premier plat, premier plat et première page de garde détachés, quelques pages rognées, page 107/108 légèrement tachée.

Smith note en p.12 que cette édition a pu être précédée de deux recueils de chansons, probablement édités par Cooke. Il s'agit de l'opéra mis en scène au King's Theatre en mai 1726, durant lequel éclata la fameuse dispute opposant les deux prima donnas Faustina et Cuzzoni.
