Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is lighter in the original.
The work is executed on canvas and it is not relined.
A very few thins cracks are only visible under very close inspection.
Probably due to an old careful restauration, three thin lines have slighlty yellowed :
one (approx. 8 cm) located 4 cm from the extremity of the upper left corner
one (approx. 1,5 cm) located 19 cm from the upper edge and 4 cm from the left edge
one (approx. 3 cm) located 83 cm from the upper edge and 19 cm from the left edge.
Under UV light, due to careful restorations :
- a few scaterred pinhead sized dots fluoresce.
- 4 thin lines (from 4 cm to 1 cm long) fluoresce in the left half of the work.
This work is in very good condition.
