Description

  • porcelain
seated with the right leg raised, wearing long robes falling into voluminous folds and opening to reveal his bare chest, the head slightly lowered with a serene expression, detailed with characteristic coiled eyebrows, moustache and beard, the reverse impressed with a square seal reading Lin Xiaozong yin (seal of Lin Xiaozong)

Condition

Large firing crack to base and extending approximately 43mm up along his right foot (as visible in catalogue image). Minor fritting to edges of robes. The glaze of a slightly more yellowish-ivory tone than in catalogue image.
