Description

carved with Shoulao and an attendant under a gnarled pine bearing clusters of needles in a mountainous landscape, surrounded by craggy rockwork and winding up towards a stone terrace with a flower vase on a raised stand below swirled clouds collaring the top of the pebble, the reverse with a deer and a crane swooping down above a gnarled pine, the smoothly polished stone of a greyish-white colour with a few icy inclusions and patches of brown skin, wood stand

Condition

The boulder is in good condition. The actual colour of the stone is more yellowish celadon, and the russet skin of a somewhat warmer tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
