Description

naturalistically carved as a large mallow blossom with five broad flaring petals issuing from a gnarly stem on the underside, detailed with a scrolling pistil in the centre and wreathed by attendant buds and three large serrated palmette leaves, the translucent pale celadon stone picked out with a few russet veins and finished to a smooth polish

Condition

There are a few minor nibbles and tiny nicks along the edges but overall the washer is in very good condition. The actual colour is quite close to the catalogue illustration.
