Description

elegantly carved in the form of a censer supported on a raised circular base adorned with four ruyi heads, the rounded sides densely carved with ribbed petals radiating under an everted rim, the domed cover finely decorated in openwork with a band of scrolling lotus wreathed by feathery leaves, above radiating petals and below ruyi-shaped lappets enclosing a shou symbol, all encircling a large waisted knop with a flat top, set with small vertical flanges and carved above in the form of four ruyi heads centred with a shou medallion, the stone of dark green colour picked out with black veining and finished to a fine polish

Condition

There is some very mild pitting on the interior and under the base, but overall the bowl and cover are in very good condition.
