Description
the curved wooden shaft with beaded edges set with an oval shaped head inlaid with a domed white jade plaque carved in low relief with Shoulao and a deer with a branch of lingzhi in his mouth set in a landscape with a pine tree, above a smaller oval plaque carved with auspicious emblems of a conch shell floating on waves with a ruyi cloud, canopy and endless-knot chime hovering above, terminating in a further small oval plaque at the base of the shaft carved with pomegranates, the shaft finely inlaid in silver wires with shou characters in seal script characters
Condition
The jade plaques needs re-gluing and the head of the shaft is a little loose and needs re-gluing. The wire inlay is in good condition and the overall condition is quite good.
