the archaistic bird finely carved with its head turned back resting between its wings, its web feet neatly tucked below its body and its feathery tail curling down to form a compact composition, its plumage picked out in various archaistic motifs including key-fret, leiwen and C-scrolls, the warm honey-coloured stone subtly enhanced with russet inclusions
Condition
The overall condition is very good with only a few minute bruises and nibbles. The actual colour is slightly paler compared to the catalogue illustration.
