each finely painted on the interior with a central stylized foliate shou character within double line borders and five similar characters around the cavetto, the exterior with a band of interlocking 'C' scrolls at the base and 'C' and dot motifs around the rim, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle
