Description
the baluster body rising from a splayed foot to a tall trumpet neck, brightly enamelled round the sides with alternating leaf-shaped and rectangular panels of birds pacing on a lotus pond or perched on flowering trees, the neck collared with similar panels of flowers and birds, all reserved on a pale green crackled-ice ground scattered with prunus blooms and hovering butterflies, between a band of upright lappets around the foot and a frieze of ruyi encircling the shoulder and the rim, the base and interior left white
Condition
There are some hairline cracks in the glaze issuing from the bottom of the neck and radiating around the shoulder (the longest approx. 6.5 cm), otherwise the vase is in good condition.
