Description

robustly potted with deep rounded side rising from a short thick foot, freely carved on the interior with a branch bearing three ripe peaches on the interior enclosed within a double circle, bordered by six peony sprays below a narrow register of feathered scrolls, the exterior carved with three sprays of peony, chrysanthemum and begonia, all between a band of 'classic' scroll at the rim and upright petal lappets skirting the foot, covered overall with an unctuous sea-foam green glaze save for the ring on the base fired brick red

Condition

The bowl has a slightly warped profile. Apart from light glaze scratches to the surface of the glaze, the overall condition is very good. The actual colour is a little deeper than the catalogue illustration.
