- Two Kittens
- signed and dated Henriette Ronner / 94 upper left
- oil on panel
- 11 by 10cm., 4¼ by 4in.
Provenance
Condition
The panel is flat and even. Ultraviolet light reveals some very minor spots of retouching, notably below the mouth of the lower kitten in the white pigments, and in the background. Apart from some vertical hairline-thin lines of craquelure, visible under close inspection and under raking light (just visible in the catalogue illustration), overall this work is in good condition, and is ready to hang.
The work is slightly less red than in the catalogue illustration, and some areas, notably the grey-white fur, are more richly-detailed.
Held in a decorative gilt wood and plaster frame.
