Provenance

Sale: Sotheby's, Monaco, 15 June 1990, lot 143
Purchased at the above sale by the present owner

Condition

Unexamined out of the frame and under glass. Apart from some tiny spots of surface dirt above the towers of Notre Dame, and a minor light scuff at the right of the lower edge in the pavement, overall this work is in good orginal condition, and is ready to hang. Held in a decorative gilt frame, without a mount, under glass. The colours are slightly subtler than in the catalogue illustration, which is otherwise quite accurate.
