Condition

The sheet has been laid on card. There are two short repaired tears along the lower edge and one at the upper edge faintly visible under close inspection; there is a handful of minor repaired tears at the extreme edges which are covered by the mount. Overall the work is in good condition. The colours are somewhat lighter and more vibrant than in the catalogue illustration, notably the angel's wings and the greys of the figure and ground. Held in a gilt frame, with a light-brown mount, under glass
