(i) The Grand Canal, Venice The canvas has been relined, probably addressing the fine network of craquelure in the sky (visible on close examination). Under UV light there are a few small strokes of retouching visible, notably to the right of the sky addressing some fine lines of craquelure, in the building upper left and in the water lower right. Overall this work is in good clean condition. (ii) Saint Mark's Square, Venice The canvas has been relined, probably addressing the fine network of craquelure in the sky (visible on close examination). Under UV light there are some small scattered spots of retouching visible, notably to the right edge of the bell tower and to the sky immediately around the bell tower, in the extreme upper right and left corners of the sky and a few strokes in the building and foreground on the right. Overall this work is good condition, clean and ready to hang. These works are held in a decorative gilt frames.
