STRUCTURE
Original canvas. There are some small nail holes visible along the upper, right and lower edges. The varnish has discoloured in places, notably in the sky; the work may benefit from a light clean.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
UV light reveals an uneven varnish which flouresces and makes the surface difficult to read. There appear to be some minor retouchings to the tree in the centre; to the rear leg and underbelly of the horse.
FRAME
Held in a plaster frame.
