Condition
STRUCTURE
Original canvas. There is a craquelure pattern across the surface. There are two areas of paint loss along the upper left and right edges that have been infilled. There are very small, isolated spots of staining through the sky and the varnish has discoloured. There is a circular patch approxmiately 5cm in diameter on the reverse lower right.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Ultraviolet light reveals two small areas of retouching near the base of the front and middle masts and to the above mentioned infilling.

Held in a simple gilt and wood frame.
