Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been relined; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition, clean and ready to hang with no signs of craquelure. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT Under UV light two areas flouresce which may relate to tears: one above left of the figure's shoulder approximately 6cm. long; the other left of the figure's right elbow approximately 4cm. long. FRAME Held in a gilt plaster frame.
