Original canvas. There is a small protrusion in the upper left corner and another near the upper right, otherwise the work appears in good overall condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Under UV light reveals an opaque varnish and no apparent signs of retouching.

Held in a gilt composite frame.
